Little Toes and Little Fingers

A couple we took photos of a few months ago had their first child at the end of September, a beautiful baby boy. Chase was born on September 27th and weighed 7.10. We took photos of him at 1 month which was right around Halloween. What a precious baby he was. Usually 1 month olds are more alert and starting to get squirmy, but Chase was really good during the photoshoot. He didn't get too fussy and he was only squirmy at first. He is so adorable! Good job Aly and David!

He didn't like it when we confined his feet in baskets and bath tubs, but we got him to sleep and he settled down. It was so cute Chase would be asleep but his eyes not fully closed so Aly and David would have to gently press on his eyelids and he would fall fully asleep, but if he heard the camera they would become open again for a little bit. At first Chase was alert and curious as to what was going on. He would follow me around with his little eyes, and watch everything I did. SO CUTE! They had dressed up him like a little spider from Boo at the Zoo. And we had camo and BSU clothes to play with. Thank You David and Aly for allowing us to take his newborn photos, once again it was a pleasure to work with you.
I know you will love these pictures as much as I do.

Check them out.

Congrats Aly and David on your beautiful baby.

A Beautiful Fall Day

October 12th was a beautiful fall day..... a perfect day for a wedding. Jennifer and Jerry got married in Albertson's Park which of course is always a fantastic spot to take photos this time of year. They got married around 6 and so this allowed us to get some of the golden colors from the sunset. Jennfier looked beautiful and I loved her purple shoes! She had made her own bouquet and did a great job, the colors of her bouquet were beautiful and perfect for the setting. Jennifer and Jerry wanted a small intimate wedding surrounded by the most important people in their lives.

Since it was a smaller wedding this allowed us the opportunity to capture a lot of great photos of the good looking couple. Their son Alex also looked very handsome and is always a ham to work with. These two have very kind hearts and are so generous. We loved working with them for the second time.

The ceremony was so romantic with the sun setting and the father of the groom performing the ceremony. The father of the groom played the guitar and sang to the bride and groom. They also had a prayer from the groom's brother, and a little speech from the father of the bride. There were definately a lot of tears in this audience and so much love for this beautiful couple.  We are so happy for you two and we wish you a long life full of happiness. Thank you again for allowing us to do your photos it was a pleasure to be part of such a romantic event.

Enjoy!

Playing in Paint

Mark and I had the honor to take photos for a super fun family with a creative twist. They contacted us about taking pictures while they got in a paint fight. Ok seriously how could we resist this???? One of our first photoshoots was with a friend where we splattered paint all over her.... we were so excited to repeat the idea but with more people. These three ladies were so much fun and such a pleasure to work with.

They started off with mustaches and Mark encouraged them to use French accents.... you know it helps with the inspiration of painting. HAHAHA. They were funny! Then the paint fight began... paint of all different colors flying everywhere and thank goodness these girls weren't afraid of getting dirty. The colors were fantastic and the three ladies were entertaining! Thank you Stephanie, Tracy, and Chelsea for allowing us to be part of such a fun photoshoot and we would be honored to work with you again.

We hope you have fun looking at the photos!! Enjoy.

A Beautiful Couple.....

Mark and I got the pleasure of taking photos of Erica and Haynes' wedding reception on September 22nd. They got married at Lake Tahoe and they decided to have a reception in Boise with family and friends to celebrate. I was so excited when our friend Cheryl referred Erica to us (Thank you Cheryl). I took her bridal shower photos, and then she asked us to take her wedding reception photos! If you read my last post about Erica's bridal shower you already know that is one of the sweetest person's I've had the pleasure of meeting. Both times she handed us our checks with a thank you card. That little touch was so meaningful and thoughtful on her part. It's obvious why Erica and Haynes fell in love.... they both are kind hearted individuals. They both were very polite, friendly, and its clear why everyone loves them back.

The reception was at Erica's parents place. A BEAUTIFUL HOUSE BTW! Erica and Haynes had some plane problems coming back from their honeymoon and got back the day of the reception instead of the day before. They still had to set up the reception, and they did a great job. Erica put a lot of thought and hard work into making her reception fun and beautiful. Mark and I loved all the little props/details that we could take pictures of. Even though Erica and Haynes had a stressful day, they we're so excited for their reception and so cooperative. May I just say that they both have BEAUTIFUL eyes... and I'm pretty sure will make a beautiful family.

They had a live band playing, mini desserts on the tables, face painting, a wedding cake pinata, and a photo booth. What more could guests ask for? Everyone was enjoying themselves and were estactic to share this occasion with these two wonderful people. Love was definitely the theme of the night. Have you ever met someone and felt that you wanted to be friends with them... that's kind of the feeling I got with working with Erica and Haynes. For that one night it felt like we had known them forever. We got to participate in the joyous moments of the occasion, and be surrounded by such love. At the end of the evening I had to resist not giving Erica and Haynes a congratulations hug.... We loved working with these two, and would work them again in a heartbeat.

Congratulations Erica and Haynes we wish you a long life of happiness and love. We hope you enjoy your photos as much as we enjoyed taking them.

E & H= True Love. Congrats!

She said, "I DO"

Jennifer and Jerry are referrals from one of my friends, Rayvin (Thank you Rayvin for another referral you are amazing!). They are getting married this Friday at Albertson's Park- which I'm super excited for because with the fall colors it should be beautiful.

Jennfier and Jerry were so much fun to work with. They brought along their son Alex who was in charge of making them laugh. He did a great job and was a great little helper. Jennifer has some of the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. Just look at this photo.

Jennfier and Jerry made a laugh no more than one occassion and were so laid back to work with. Mark teases me for being notorous for "Just one more picture"... hahaha happens all the time. These two were real champs everytime I kept saying, "Ok just one mroe shot." I think what it is.. when you're working with such great people you keep coming up with new ideas and want to utilize them because you're so excited. It's great when the people are so easy to work with like these two.

These two make a great team together. You could tell they have a great time together, and most importantly that they love each other. We can't wait to shoot their wedding this Friday to capture some mroe fun loving moments with two great individuals.

Congrats Jennifer and Jerry!
