A Man's Best Friend

So we have some serious dog lovers in our families (including ourselves) so Mark and I thought it would be fun to make a Dog Calendar for Christmas presents. We had a blast doing this. We had some dogs that were little posers (the good kind), and some dogs that were more hyper and hard to catch them sitting still. Some were a challenge and some were a breeze. But overall we had fun putting the project together. So here are the photos! Fun huh?

A Beautiful Bronco Day

Wow so here it is almost New Years and I haven't blogged about this fun and beautiful wedding we did back in October. I am so behind on my blogging!!!! I'm so sorry Rayvin and Justin. Rayvin is a friend of mine from my years in middle school. She asked us to take her wedding photos, I thought was really special.
Rayvin and Justin got married on October 20th, and was sporting Boise's favorite colors Blue and Orange.

Rayvin looked absolutely stunning.... I loved her dress (I thought about stealing it. ;) JK!). But it was definately my kind of dress.... a princess dress. It had beautiful ruffles and rhinestones. Rayvin wore this beautiful head band and hair net. She had blue and orange heels. The bridesmaids wore blue dresses with orange sashes, except for the Maid of Honor who wore a silver dress. The jr bridesmaid and flower girl work blue and orange tutus. SO CUTE!

We met the boys at the train depot for some pictures. Each party stepping out of the limo for the big reveal moment. This is my favorite moment with any wedding, you just can't help but smile. Of course Justin was impressed with his beautiful bride. This group was so fun and easy to take photos of, and than Mark and I got to enjoy the couple's company for some individual shots.

The wedding was out in Nampa at a fairly new event place. I loved the high ceilings and the modern feel that the place gave off. When Rayvin's dad walked her down the aisle he spun her, which I thought was so sweet. We can officially say we've never seen that before. This ceremony was full of laughter and tears. Right before the bride walked down the aisle I heard the groom, Justin, say to the officient that he hadn't been this excited in a really long time. Justin was beaming, even before Rayvin walked down the aisle.

My favorite moment though throughout the night was the first dances. Those were some of my favorite pictures. You couldn't help but watch this couple as they embraced each other tightly, whispering in each others ears. Ravyin also has a very close relationship with her grandparents so when she was dancing with her grandfather I teared up a few times.

Overall this was an amazing wedding and we enjoyed every second of it. May you two have a long and happy life together! Congrats on expecting your little one in 2013!

Enjoy!

Little Toes and Little Fingers

A couple we took photos of a few months ago had their first child at the end of September, a beautiful baby boy. Chase was born on September 27th and weighed 7.10. We took photos of him at 1 month which was right around Halloween. What a precious baby he was. Usually 1 month olds are more alert and starting to get squirmy, but Chase was really good during the photoshoot. He didn't get too fussy and he was only squirmy at first. He is so adorable! Good job Aly and David!

He didn't like it when we confined his feet in baskets and bath tubs, but we got him to sleep and he settled down. It was so cute Chase would be asleep but his eyes not fully closed so Aly and David would have to gently press on his eyelids and he would fall fully asleep, but if he heard the camera they would become open again for a little bit. At first Chase was alert and curious as to what was going on. He would follow me around with his little eyes, and watch everything I did. SO CUTE! They had dressed up him like a little spider from Boo at the Zoo. And we had camo and BSU clothes to play with. Thank You David and Aly for allowing us to take his newborn photos, once again it was a pleasure to work with you.
I know you will love these pictures as much as I do.

Check them out.

Congrats Aly and David on your beautiful baby.

A Beautiful Fall Day

October 12th was a beautiful fall day..... a perfect day for a wedding. Jennifer and Jerry got married in Albertson's Park which of course is always a fantastic spot to take photos this time of year. They got married around 6 and so this allowed us to get some of the golden colors from the sunset. Jennfier looked beautiful and I loved her purple shoes! She had made her own bouquet and did a great job, the colors of her bouquet were beautiful and perfect for the setting. Jennifer and Jerry wanted a small intimate wedding surrounded by the most important people in their lives.

Since it was a smaller wedding this allowed us the opportunity to capture a lot of great photos of the good looking couple. Their son Alex also looked very handsome and is always a ham to work with. These two have very kind hearts and are so generous. We loved working with them for the second time.

The ceremony was so romantic with the sun setting and the father of the groom performing the ceremony. The father of the groom played the guitar and sang to the bride and groom. They also had a prayer from the groom's brother, and a little speech from the father of the bride. There were definately a lot of tears in this audience and so much love for this beautiful couple.  We are so happy for you two and we wish you a long life full of happiness. Thank you again for allowing us to do your photos it was a pleasure to be part of such a romantic event.

Enjoy!

Playing in Paint

Mark and I had the honor to take photos for a super fun family with a creative twist. They contacted us about taking pictures while they got in a paint fight. Ok seriously how could we resist this???? One of our first photoshoots was with a friend where we splattered paint all over her.... we were so excited to repeat the idea but with more people. These three ladies were so much fun and such a pleasure to work with.

They started off with mustaches and Mark encouraged them to use French accents.... you know it helps with the inspiration of painting. HAHAHA. They were funny! Then the paint fight began... paint of all different colors flying everywhere and thank goodness these girls weren't afraid of getting dirty. The colors were fantastic and the three ladies were entertaining! Thank you Stephanie, Tracy, and Chelsea for allowing us to be part of such a fun photoshoot and we would be honored to work with you again.

We hope you have fun looking at the photos!! Enjoy.
