Khloe turns 4!

Happy Birthday Miss Khloe! What a precious and energetic angel Khloe is. Khloe's mom asked us to take pictures of her daugheters "Tangled" themed birthdday party. What a magical day it was. Mary planned it perfectly because the lighting in itself was magical. Rapunzel came to celebrate with Khloe. Khloe's face brightened up like a shining star when she saw Rapunzel. Rapunzel was a great sport and she had fun games for the kids to play. There was face painting, sack races, limbo, storytelling, and singing. The event was like a true fairytale. Khloe had a blast at her party and she brought the inner child out in me. Mary had fun cake balls instead of a tradional cake. There was even a pinata, which the kids really enjoyed. The best ending to a great party was when Mary told the guests she had floating lanterns. If you have ever seen the movie Tangled, you know what I'm talking about. What a great idea and perfect ending to the party! Khloe, Rapunzel, and Mary lit up the first floating latern. What a sight to see! Khloe, I hope you had a fantastic 4th birthday.Thank you Khloe and Mary for letting me share this magical experience with the two of you.

Matt and Lubi Get Married!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a beautiful afternoon it was on September 3rd, a perfect day for a wedding. Not just any wedding... Matt and Lubi's wedding. These two got married at the Clubhouse Event Center. The bride and groom were filled with excitement for their special day. Lubi is a beautiful young woman and made the most beautiful bride. She has perfect complexion and perfect bone structure, while she was getting ready she was so calm and at ease. It was an honor to take their wedding photos. Lubi is Laotian and so Matt and Lubi decided to honor her heritage with a tradional Laotian ceremony. I've never seen so much beautiful jewelry before. Lubi looked stunning in her pink with silver accents Laotian dress, and covered in gold jewelry. Matt had matching attire. Matt and Lubi are so in love and were so easy to shoot. They are natural posers and completely comfortable in front of the camera.

In the Laotian community everyone is very helpful and always willing to help. What a great attribute! Lubi's family members helped both of them get dressed, helped with the ceremony setup, and helped with the food setup.Matt and Lubi were surrounded with people who love them. The whole room at the Clubhouse was filled with happiness and love. Laotian weedings are full of bright colors and beautiful flowers.  The ceremony starts off with Haih Khun Maak which is where the groom parades to the bride with all of the important men in his life.  Once Matt met up with Lubi, they sit in front of their two Phakhuanes, which are decorated with colorful flowers and fruit. The Laotian ceremony is full of blessings from everyone present. The family members and wedding guests tied white strings around Matt and Lubi's wrists as blessings for the couple. They are two spirits joining as one. After their Laotian ceremony and dance, both of them changed into their American outfits. Lubi was dressed in a beautiful white and silver gown, Matt in a tux. I loved Lubi's hair piece for her American outfit. Absolutely beautiful! One thing that Mark and I loved was instead of a money dance they went around and offered shots of brandy or whiskey for money. What a great tradition. Overall this was a fun festivie wedding celebrating two people who are madly in love with each other.

May you two live happily ever after!

Welcome Audree!

Audree was born on August 6th and we got the pleasure of taking pictures of her when she was one week old. Audree was born at 6.3 lbs.... a tiny little beauty. She was so precious and cooperated very well. We laid her on a bookshelf, in a basket, on a wicker plate and she barely got fussy. Andy and Terra are already great parents after only a week, it came natural to them because of their love for children. We got a few smiles from Audree during the photoshoot. I was lucky enough to get to hold precious Audree Jean, and she was so fragile in my hands. Here's some pictures to show what a sweetheart she was.

Look at that adorable face!

Daysha and Clinton Get MARRIED!!

Daysha and Clinton got married on July 23rd, 2011.

The wedding took place at the beautiful Empire Building in downtown Boise. The Empire building has a beautiful wide open room with a lot of windows allowing for beautiful lighting. The ceremony took place upstairs on the main floor and the reception in a room below. In the main entrance there are crystal chandeliers and beautiful tiled floors. This building has some very unique aspects to it like mirrored elevators, and fun staircases.

Daysha looked absolutely beautiful! Her dark hair, and light colored skin made her eyes pop! Daysha and Clinton have a daughter, Madison, and she is so adorable. What a great sport she was! Even though Madison wasn't feeling very well she did a great job, and handled all the excitement very well. When I met up with Daysha to scope out the location, Madison warmed right up to me and gave me a hug.

Daysha and Clinton were a pleasure to work with, and very laid back. Even when the fire alarms went off due to smoke from the kitchen, Daysha and Clinton just laughed it off. Daysha even got a picture with the firemen. Daysha and Clinton care a lot for each other and you can tell by their simple mannerisms. We even saw Clinton wipe a tear away when he walked back down the aisle. Daysha added some beautiful touches to her wedding with all the flower girls wearing blue headbands that matched the sashes on their dresses. Daysha and Clinton were surrounded by the people they love the most in a very intimitate setting. We felt very lucky to get to be a part of this special event full of love.

Congrats to Daysha and Clinton!
