Good friends....

You've probably seen Brandon and Ashley in our albums before... and that's because we did Ashley's maturnity photos. Well now the beauiful Collette has been born, and they asked us to take family photos. Of course we jumped on it. We are so lucky to have Brandon and Ashley in our lives, and are so thankful for their friendship. Not only that but I simply adore Collette, she's so precious. Not only did we do tradional family photos... but they helped us with a creative photoshoot too.

One day I was driving home thinking about the Cherry festival and how I would really like to go to it sometime. I got this image in my head of bright red cherries.... than I started picturing a vintage family on a picnic after picking cherries... and BAM I had a new photoshoot. Mark and I bought a few props, and asked the Whittens to help us out. They did such a great job, and their little family was perfect for the photoshoot. We found Ashley and Collettes clothes at Savers. Savers is now my place to shop when I need costumes. Picked up a few things at teh antique store and now we had ourselves a vintage photoshoot.

There's a place not to far from our house, that I always want to take pictures at and so it was perfect for this setting. Thank you Brandon and Ashley for helping us out with the photos, I couldn't have asked for a better family. The pictures turned out PERFECT! Enjoy!

Smiles.... Tears... Laughter.... More Tears... and LOVE

If you follow us on Facebook, you know that we took pictures of a beautiful wedding a few weeks ago. First of all thank you to Rayvin for recommending us to her cousin Aly for the wedding photos.

Mark and I were so nervous throughout the day on June 9th because it was raining, and in fact sometimes pouring. Aly and David's wedding was inside (thank goodness) at the Cowgirls Event Center, but we had scoped out the location beforehand and really wanted to take pictures outside. Mother nature came around to our side for the remaining part of the day, because when it came to meet up with the bridal party and families it was nothing but sunshine. BEAUTIFUL DAY! We couldn't have asked for better weather because it made the pictures turn out beautiful.

Aly and David and their families were some of the kindest, most cooperative, and of course most fun people we have had the chance to work with. We couldn't have asked for a better group of people. It was such a pleasure to work with all of them. Aly looked beautiful..... breathtaking (you'll see in a second.) It was so cute because Mark was telling me that when I went to get Aly for the first look photo and he was outside with David, David was a mess. A good kind of mess. He was so nervous to see his bride, and ball of nerves and happpiness. They both had the biggest smiles on their faces when they saw each other, it was priceless. SOOO CUTE!

Everyone was great during photos, and then we got ready for the ceremony. Which was a beautiful touching ceremony. The event center was packed with people tearing up who obviously cared a lot for this young couple. By the time they got around to the toasts there wasn't a dry eye in the building. The Maid of Honor's toast almost made me tear up..... and I just met her. I love how touched Aly got during her father's toast. What a beautiful moment. Or the tears that swelled up in the Best Man's eyes during his speech. It's very clear to me that Aly and David are surrounded by friends and family that love them to pieces, support them, and would do anything for them. For a few hours we felt like we had joined their family.

Not only was this group full of love and emotion for this beautiful couple, but they also knew how to party. The DJ had glow sticks for everyone to wear, which was such a fun idea. The music was fantastic and the group loved the dance floor. Mark and I had so much fun at this wedding, and we are truly blessed to have been part of their special day. We only hope that they cherish their photos as much as we cherished the memory we made. Congratulations to Aly and David Weld, may your life be full of love and happiness.

P.S. Aly and David are expecting a little of bundle of joy, and their little boy is so lucky because he is joining such a fantastic family full of support, appreciation, kindness, and most of all love. HOPE YOU ENJOY THESE PHOTOS....

(This was the flower girl and the brides grandfather sharing a touching moment, that melted my heart)

Look at those beautiful eyes!

I just had to share this one.... How fun are these girls

The Garden of Eve

So sometimes I get these crazy ideas in my head for photoshoots, and I get so excited about them that I have to make my vision come true or I go crazy. Often times I can picture the clothing on the model, the model's features and a background. And I must say that lately I've come pretty darn close to my oringinal idea. Of course sometimes it has to change due to budget, not finding the right attire, or change of models, but than the photos always turn out great!

There's a place by my work that is very green, especially after all this rain fall we have been getting. Everytime I look at it I think, I need to do a photoshoot there. I told Mark my idea about an Eve photoshoot in this abandoned lot. Of course Mark thinks I'm crazy. He knows how I get when I get these ideas, I just get so excited. So anyways... long story short my friend Janay (yes you saw her in a post I did a few months ago) volunteered. She's a bit thinner than me, so the dress I originally had in mind wouldn't fit her. I told her she would need to get a white dress, and honestly I couldn't have been happier with her choice. The dress was perfect! When we met up, I did her hair and makeup which I think turned out very nicely for not being in beauty school. Everything was coming together great.

We were supposed to even get thunderstorms, and possible rain during our photoshoot but it never came. We even moved up our photoshoot by an hour or so just to try and avoid it, but the weather was perfect. Janay and I suffered from a few scratches from the strange plants on the lot. More so me than her, but she still got a few. Beauty is pain.... right?

We also got to take advantage of the beautiful evening lighting. I love how the photos turned out, and Janay was a perfect choice for this. Take a look, and I hope you love them just as much as I do.

Thanks again Janay! You looked fantastic, and did a great job.
