Matt and Lubi Get Married!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a beautiful afternoon it was on September 3rd, a perfect day for a wedding. Not just any wedding... Matt and Lubi's wedding. These two got married at the Clubhouse Event Center. The bride and groom were filled with excitement for their special day. Lubi is a beautiful young woman and made the most beautiful bride. She has perfect complexion and perfect bone structure, while she was getting ready she was so calm and at ease. It was an honor to take their wedding photos. Lubi is Laotian and so Matt and Lubi decided to honor her heritage with a tradional Laotian ceremony. I've never seen so much beautiful jewelry before. Lubi looked stunning in her pink with silver accents Laotian dress, and covered in gold jewelry. Matt had matching attire. Matt and Lubi are so in love and were so easy to shoot. They are natural posers and completely comfortable in front of the camera.

In the Laotian community everyone is very helpful and always willing to help. What a great attribute! Lubi's family members helped both of them get dressed, helped with the ceremony setup, and helped with the food setup.Matt and Lubi were surrounded with people who love them. The whole room at the Clubhouse was filled with happiness and love. Laotian weedings are full of bright colors and beautiful flowers.  The ceremony starts off with Haih Khun Maak which is where the groom parades to the bride with all of the important men in his life.  Once Matt met up with Lubi, they sit in front of their two Phakhuanes, which are decorated with colorful flowers and fruit. The Laotian ceremony is full of blessings from everyone present. The family members and wedding guests tied white strings around Matt and Lubi's wrists as blessings for the couple. They are two spirits joining as one. After their Laotian ceremony and dance, both of them changed into their American outfits. Lubi was dressed in a beautiful white and silver gown, Matt in a tux. I loved Lubi's hair piece for her American outfit. Absolutely beautiful! One thing that Mark and I loved was instead of a money dance they went around and offered shots of brandy or whiskey for money. What a great tradition. Overall this was a fun festivie wedding celebrating two people who are madly in love with each other.

May you two live happily ever after!
